Goodbye PPP Papa Palheta and Welcome CSHH Chye Seng Huat Hardware

Papa Palheta, the good guys who bring us good coffee and made us "Enter from the Rear" is gonna move out of their premise at Hooper Road. Their last day at Hooper Road will be 21st October 2012 and after that, all coffee related activities will be consolidated to CSHH Chye Seng Huat Hardware at Tyrwhitt Road. I bet many will miss the times at Papa Palheta but I'm sure the undying spirit of getting all out to pull us good coffee will still burn at Chye Seng Huat Hardware. Go say goodbye before Papa's gone! But don't forget to tip OK!

So are you gonna miss "entering from the rear" through this door?

How many have their butt prints down here wiling away time with friends or alone with a story book?

What it says on the wall "Papa Palheta is an independent coffee boutique, specialising in roasting and purveying specialty coffee in Singapore. Our philosophy is simple, we are relentless in trying to bring out the best  in the beans with our unique brewing and roasting techniques. Our roasters practice micro production methods allowing us to be meticulous in this artisanal craft. We believe every coffee has its story so we always aim to source our beans with transparency and traceability in mind. The profile of our coffees are not random but painstakingly tweaked and cupped to make sure that we do justice to the beans and more importantly to the farmer." Let's hope we see the same philosophy at CSHH. Cos it's this that made PPP.

Don't worry guys you'll find your space on the retail racks in CSHH.

At the bar in the tasting room looking out into the courtyard.

This is gonna be my last cup of Terra Firma cafe latte in PPP ...

... Nope I think this is my last. The one before was my second last cup.

We are all going to miss this place. For some, this is where their love for coffee all started

The original spirit Papa Palheta will still be alive though not at Hooper Road. I'll follow where that spirit goes :)
